ACEE's goal for our students is that upon leaving ACEE, your child is performing at a grade level higher than their age and grade. We accomplish this through encouragement and respect. Our Story

Tiffany Anderson, M.ED.SPED, started ACEE in 2003 as a tutoring service for students that ranged from special needs to gifted children that needed support in various areas. She began by tutoring five students a few days a week. Word spread about the success of her model. In 2004, she expanded capacity by finishing out her garage as classroom space and taking on another teacher.

In a matter of six months, ACEE had gained more students, and Tiffany found herself teaching in the kitchen, with another teacher teaching in the finished garage learning space. The achievement of ACEE's success continued to lead to more parents wanting their children to be tutored.

To accommodate the demand, the Andersons moved to another, more spacious house, and hired two additional faculty. Again, the space was quickly outgrown and they began teaching small groups at the library in order to satisfy the need for ACEE's services.

At long last, in 2005, Tiffany made the decision to purchase a building to house the ever-growing number of learners. The current space was designed with ACCE's teaching model in mind and with room to expand.

Today, ACEE has kids that attend the tutorial from as far away as Chattanooga. We have many current students who are the children of parents who are ACEE alumni.

Home Schooling

Parents were so pleased with ACEE, that in the summer of 2005 they called a meeting with Tiffany and asked her to start a home schooling service. At first, she was hesitant, but the parents were not taking no for an answer. Her enthusiasm for the idea grew and today ACEE works with parents to design home schooling programs for their children, most of who come to the ACEE campus for academics Monday through Thursday. Friday is reserved each week so parents and students can do fun and educational "field trips" and other experiential opportunities.

ACEE has a formal relationship with Aaron Academy as our records holder and umbrella school. They maintain grades, transcripts and test results so that parents have all of the documentation needed should they change schools or when the student graduates on to college.

Our Process

Initial One On One Meeting With The Student And Family

1. Consult with the parents about their vision for their child's education to determine between tutoring or the Home Schooling option.
2. Introduce the student to the environment.
3. Evaluation of the pupil in the areas of IQ, reading phonological awareness and vocabulary, informal writing assessment, and math.
4. Recommendations for remediation based on testing and observation from the assessment. Our philosophy is that even gifted learners have areas that they can improve upon or enhance.
5. If tutoring is the chosen option, determine which tutor is selected for that child based on expertise, personality and parents' schedules. If home schooling is the chosen option, decisions will be made about number of days the student attends the ACEE campus.
